Recently, GNEE successfully delivered 2 sets of LNG stainless steel cryogenic tanks to an overseas customer. This achievement not only demonstrates GNEE’s profound technological expertise in the field of LNG tank equipment manufacturing but also further proves its brand competitiveness in the international market.
This project will be applied to an 1822 FEU (Forty-Foot Equivalent Unit) container ship. The design and construction strictly comply with international authoritative standards such as ASME and USCG, endowing the tanks with excellent cryogenic performance and corrosion resistance. Made of 304 stainless steel and classified by the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS), each tank has a diameter of 11.8 meters, a total length of 22.5 meters, and a designed capacity of 2,245 cubic meters. With a minimum design temperature of -163°C and a design pressure of 3.0 bar, the tanks can still maintain stable operation under extreme low-temperature and high-pressure environments.
Since the start of construction, GNEE has attached great importance to project schedule management. It overcame adverse weather conditions, optimized production processes, arranged resources reasonably, and conducted research on key welding technologies. On this basis, strict welding process regulations were formulated, effectively improving welding quality.
