Description
The plate heat exchanger is composed of a group of corrugated metal plates suspended on the upper beam and positioned by the lower guide rod. Clamping bolts located around the compression plate clamp these plates between the fixed pressure plate and the movable plate on the frame. There are four corner holes in the corners of each plate to guide the fluid for heat transfer in and out. A sealing gasket is installed between the adjacent plates to seal the fluid channel, so that the hot and cold fluids flow every other plate to form heat exchange. The flow rate, physical properties, pressure drop and temperature differences of the fluid determine the number and size of the plates.
