Precautions
The shell and tube heat exchanger is hydraulically tested with water as the medium. The water used should be clean and the water temperature should not be lower than 5 degrees. Water stains should be removed immediately after testing. If we cannot meet this requirement, the chloride ion content in water should be controlled not to exceed 25mg/L.
In the hydrostatic test of shell and tube heat exchangers, two pressure gauges with the same range and calibration must be used. The range of the pressure gauge should not be less than 1.5 times and higher than 3 times the test pressure. The pressure gauge should be installed on top of the test heat exchanger for easy viewing of the location.
